Did you know that there is a physiological reason why we crave ice cream, chocolate, sweets (and wine!) when we’re stressed?
It actually works to make us feel less stressed! But only in the short term, sadly. Over time it keeps us locked in food prison.
EXPOSURE = PREFERENCE.
If we keep eating sweets when we’re stressed, we’ll keep craving sweets when we’re stressed.
Your ticket out of jail is to make friends with FAT, PROTEIN and FIBER at most meals, while developing healthier ways to mitigate stress like deep breathing, meditation, human connection, vulnerability, and being “on purpose” with your work and your life.
